Monthly Goal Link Up

It is that time of the month again to link up your goals and check out what other people are up to!

I love this link up because it is so inspiring to see the goals other people have set and to see them accomplished! The last month link up was a little different because of New Years resolutions, but I talked about making small goals and trying to nail those!

How have you guys been doing!?

The goals I set for the new year are:

1. Lose 20lbs this new year

The small Goals i have hit to achieve this so far was eating 5 small meals a day and doing the T-25 work out! So far I am on track :) I could definitely drink more water a day!

2. Find a Job

This has not happened yet. But I have been applying and I do have an interview set up!

3. Save Money

YESSSS! I downloaded the snow mint budget system. Its an online envelope system and if you struggling with budgeting I HIGHLY recommend it! I have been able to save so much and keep track of my spending habits!

Those are just a few updates :)

My goals this month are as follows:

1) Keep spending time in the bible! I have done better in January but I know I can do better then I am!

2) Keep up with the clean eats life style change I made! I feel so much better when I am eating this way

3) Do T-25 on schedule!

4) Read, read, read. I have plenty of time as a substitute teacher so I want to read a 5 book series the month of February!

5) Save over $1,000! This one will be tricky but I know I can do it!

What are your goals!? Link up at anytime this month and check out other peoples goals for ideas! I love this link up and I can't wait to share your goals it with you! Grab a button and Link Up!

NYE Goals/Resolutions/Dreams for 2014

We are about to go LIVE with my favorite monthly link up plus a little twist! So many people set new years resolutions, which is GREAT! It is a great skill to set goals, but let me tell you why I am not a huge fan of the new years resolutions....

They usually go something like this...

For the most part, people stick to the their resolutions for a good two weeks, or maybe even the first month when suddenly there is an excuse to go off that diet you were on, or you just HAVE to spend money, or the gym membership you bought is being used less and less..

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?

Because New Years resolutions are long term goals...

So?

Well long term goals need to have short term goals to go with them...let me show you

1) My "New Years Resolution" is to lose 20lbs this year
(so in stead of just leaving it at this and then making every excuse in the world when I don't complete this goal I will set some short term goals)
I will lose this 20lbs by doing the following:
     - Completing the T-25 work out
     - Running another 1/2 marathon
     - Drinking TONS of water daily
     - Paying more attention to my diet...aka eating 5 small meals a day
(These smaller goals are going to help me reach my large New Years Resolution Goal)

Now if I have short goals to work towards in order to reach my resolution! If I don't complete this resolution I can look back and see what small goals I didn't complete.

2) Find a job

     - looking and networking
     - Keeping my resume up to date
     - Applying, applying, applying- - - - and calling to check up on my
       application

3) Save Money

     - Pay off some of my student loans (yay real world :/)
     - Save enough money for an emergency funds in my savings
     - Save enough money to be able to move out of my parents house and live
       on my own!

4) Travel...on a budget!

     - Florida
     - Hilton head
     - Washington DC
     - Boston
     - Mackinaw Island

5) Grow in my relationship with God
- Spend more time in the bible
- Find a devotional to do daily...any ideas?
- Spend more time in prayer

What are your New Years Resolutions!? Even if you do not make small goals Link Up all resolutions/goals/wishes/hopes/and dreams for 2014 here!

(I will blog in 2014 about my success in 2013 of my goals)

Monthly Goal Link Up

It is time to link up your monthly goals again!

Let's see how well I did this past month:

1) Complete my half marathon...Check! Not only did I complete it, but I beat my time by 6 minutes. Check out my story

2) Keep saving money...I failed. Miserably. After a trip up north to a winery with friends, many school purchases, certification purchases, and sub permits. My very part time nannying job didn't allow for much saving this month :(

3) Complete 3 more observations...Check! I only have two more! P.S. 1 month till graduation! I literally Can. Not. Wait.

4) Keep up food logging. ehhh failed. However, I have noticed a change in my diet even though I haven't been keeping track of it. I did use the loose it app one whole month and although I haven't used it the past 2 weeks I eat a ton less, drink a ton more water, and have noticed more toning and less bloating!

So what are my goals this month?

1) Keep working out at least 3-4 times a week.

2) Prepare my resume for graduation!

3) Save, save, save! One month till I am completely Miss Independent.

4) Drink lots of water, 3 water bottles a day! I feel so much better, I eat less, and my skin feels great! I want to keep this up!

What are your goals? Link up here! I am also linking up with Stephanie and her wonderful goal link up!! I love goal setters :)

Also, lets talk about my fantasy team. I had the draft this week. I honestly can't predict how well my team is going to be! However, with my starting QB Tom Brady, I am sure we will be fine ;)
